I love Graduate Fashion Weeks! Like small windows on the future, they are always been my favourite for seeing something really “new” and non-comformative designs.
The Westminster University students presented last month their debut collections in front of a number of high-profile people from the fashion industry. The graduates have already worked with internationally renowned design houses including Celine, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, and Balenciaga to name but a few.
The young designer that has caught my attention is Valeska Collado, who introduces us in a world of PVC coats and pastel coloured foam sculpted into oversized pleats. Entitled “The future of fashion”, this collection is the perfect expression of youthful femininity.
